SOLO PAINTING
Body painting finds a new home at Fringe.
Ten years ago, Matti McLean stumbled into body painting with The Human Canvas Project- Now after a half decade away from this passion, he seeks to create new experience by telling the story from his side of the brush, while painting a human live in front of the audience.
Journey with Matti as he tells his story while using his brush to make his words come alive on a model. This one of a kind show tackles themes of religious trauma, artistic burnout, queer identity, divorce - all with a heaping helping of insecurity and self deprecation wrapped in a hopeful and accepting package.
Written and performed by Matti McLean, and directed by Owen Fawcett, Solo Painting combines theatre and visual arts in something unique and contemporary.
